Clearing Cactus’ Trauma

Cactus

Poor Cactus has had a rough couple of days. She seems to have developed a severe “Fight or Flight” mentality to anything that is unfamiliar to her, especially strangers and loud noises. The past couple of days we have had lots of loud noises happening with quite a few bad storms blowing through, resulting in some fallen branches and a huge tree falling, and of course, Fourth of July fireworks. Even worse was that all of these incidents happened while Cactus was sleeping out in her favorite place, the screen porch. This has resulted with her being very fearful to venture out where she would always spend hours cat napping. I had to do some major work on clearing Cactus’ trauma.

Childhood Trauma

Because Cactus is a new soul, she has constantly walked the line of everything being so exciting as well as it all being quite scary. Very unlike her old soul sister, Lily. At some point, after Cactus turned a year old, she developed the intense fear of strangers. Any time someone would come to visit, Cactus would break into our closet and hide. Not only while the visitors were here, but for hours after they left. When she finally emerged from her safe spot, she would be highly on guard and extremely cautious. I felt so bad for her. I pulled out all of my tricks to help her overcome this “Stranger Danger” mentality that she had developed.

When I “snatched” Cactus & Lily.

It wasn’t until we covered the topic of “Childhood Trauma” in my Holistic Cat Practitioner class that we actually made a breakthrough with Cactus. Through connecting with Cactus on a Soul Level, we were able to determine that she was dealing with some childhood trauma of her own. She remembered when I “snatched” her and Lily up and “took” them away from their home. She was remembering when I trapped them and brought them to my home. Now, she was applying that memory to any strangers that came to the house. Cactus is afraid that they are going to “snatch” her up and take her away from me and her current home. We had to do a lot of clearing of Cactus’ trauma. I remind her daily that she is safe and protected here. Things were going well, until…

Loud Noises = Fear

Things were going well with Cactus. So well, in fact, that we had a friend come over to look at my husband’s car and while Cactus did run, she only ran into the house and then very slowly ventured back out to the porch. I told her numerous times that she was such a brave girl and how proud I was of her. Yay! Moving forward. Until the Fourth of July. Earlier that day, a storm blow through and we had some branches fall right beside the screen porch. The noise scared all of the cats, but especially Cactus. Her “Fight or Flight” kicked in and she took off. Eventually, she made her way back to the porch. And then, fireworks. Back to her safe spot she went.

Cautious Cactus.

The next morning, I had to work with her to clear some trauma and fear before she would even go back out to the porch. Eventually, she did and went back to sleeping peacefully in her RV. And then, a tree fell beside the house (away from the house)! If you have never heard a tree fall, let me tell you it is LOUD. So loud you can feel the ground vibrate. Quite scary for me AND the cats. All seven of them were peacefully sleeping and then, BOOM, they all came scrambling back into the house. And of course, Cactus went into hiding. Back to releasing that trauma. Poor little girl.

Later that afternoon, Cactus put on her “brave girl kitty pants” and went back on the porch. And of course, ANOTHER storm blows though. High winds, heavy rain. And you guessed it, Cactus went back into hiding. This time, it was not her usual spot. It took me hours to find her hiding under the daybed in my office corner. And this time, she refused to come to me. No matter what I tried, Cactus WAS NOT coming out of this safe spot. And I couldn’t blame her. A lot had happened to freak her out in just 24 hours. I needed reinforcements for this. So, I sent a message to our class group to help work with Cactus and what was discovered was amazing.

Fear = Dark Entities

Because Cactus had been through so much over the past couple of days, her level of fear was high. Fear is the lowest of emotional frequencies. With Cactus’ fear being so high and now her emotional frequency was at the lowest possible, this was a perfect scenario for dark entities or energy vampires to attach themselves to her. Once I realized this, I went right to work on clearing and releasing these entities. I literally told them to leave, that they were not welcomed here. I then spent quite a bit of time clearing Cactus’ trauma and surrounding her with white light.

Cactus feels safer near me.

It was absolutely amazing to watch her come closer the longer I worked with her. Then, Lily went under the daybed and they both came closer to me. Lily was guiding and protecting her. Finally, Cactus came out and all of a sudden, Emmet and Hemingway appeared and started to groom Cactus. I have never seen them work together like this before. Eventually, Cactus came all of the way out and started grooming herself. I could see that she had calmed down and her energy was higher. It was such a beautiful experience.

An Ongoing Process

Cactus is doing better. But this is an ongoing process. Clearing trauma is not accomplished in one session. I will have to work with her daily to ensure that her trauma and the rest does not return. We will work daily on rebuilding her confidence and helping her find joy in her happy place again. The ultimate goal is for her to have the peace on the porch that she once had.

Today, we had some play time on the porch. Then, while my husband was leaf blowing (loud noises), we had some yummy treats on the porch. Because she is not feeling safe and secure in her environment, we are working with herbs, hydrosols, and crystals that support the Root Chakra. She is also getting some color therapy to help increase her emotional vibrational frequency. Reminding her daily that she is a brave girl who is safe and protected. And, eventually, after clearing Cactus’ trauma, she will indeed be a brave girl.

Cactus will eventually get to this level of peace again.
